As a chapter officer for the NKBA, you directly contribute to and benefit from the growth of the kitchen and bath industry's leading Association. You serve as a member advocate and a representative of your peers to the Association and the industry, as well as a mentor for student members to develop potential and build skills. Through leadership training, you gain the tools and skills necessary to become a stronger manager. This knowledge can be invaluable to your own business and the experience is a great addition to your personal portfolio.
Chapter Officer Benefits
To ensure that the National Kitchen & Bath Association continues to meet the needs of kitchen and bath professionals, the NKBA encourages our members to serve as officers in their local NKBA chapters. In that role, you'll be uniquely positioned to network with other kitchen and bath professionals in your area.
Gain Consumer and Peer Recognition
NKBA chapter officers are recognized as leaders in the industry by both consumers and peers, which is certain to enhance your business or career.
Influence the Association and the Industry
As a chapter officer, you'll gain influence over NKBA programs. These programs often affect not only the association, but the entire kitchen and bath industry.
Valuable Leadership Training
Chapter officers are offered complimentary leadership training every two years. Chapter officers are invited by invitation and the cost of attending this training is handled by the NKBA. This training will prove invaluable to you both as an NKBA leader and in your business.
Regional leadership training carries on the leadership training and development that begins at the grass root level and further enhances leadership skills that allow members to move up the association ladder.
Chapter Meeting Benefits
Professional Development presentations are provided, allowing members to stay on the cutting edge of new development.
Chapter meeting offers a unique opportunity to develop personal and professional relations with other kitchen and bath professionals in the area.
Being active at the local level builds business through networking and gives members an opportunity to learn successful ideas and exchange business leads.
The NKBA is the world's leading trade association for the kitchen and bath industry providing tools, research, certification, and events to thousands of professionals.
The NKBA Professional Design Competition is the industry's premier showcase for creativity in kitchen and bath. A blend of fantasy and function, forward-thinking design and respect for historic architectural character, and the highest standards of execution are well represented.
The National Design Competition is currently accepting entries, with members able to get their first entry at no cost before May 31, 2022.
While we prepare for our next chapter competition, we would like to provide an avenue to showcase our members’ projects from the past 3 years with a Designer Showcase!
Each member may enter up to 3 projects to be recognized. Requirements for entry include:
All submissions will be featured on our NKBA San Diego Chapter website as well as in a special design edition of our newsletter. Projects will also be published to the NKBA national site in our local chapter member spotlight over the months following the Showcase.
Please email Tracy Parsons at the address below with any questions. All photos and design statements should also be emailed to nkbasandiego.communications@gmail.com. Please be sure to label photos and design statements, especially if you are submitting multiple projects.
